Salvation Army Thrift Stores are a vital part of the fundraising division of The Salvation Army in Nanaimo with all purchases from our stores generating funds to support the many social programs offered here in Nanaimo.
These programs include:
Lunch and dinner meals, Emergency Food, Clothing and furniture, Referrals to treatment centres, Emergency Shelter for Males, Supportive Housing and Christmas Assistance.
We also divert thousands of pounds of good quality merchandise from the landfill. We recycle 98% of our unusable textiles, metal, glass, etc.
